About me…

My name

Originally from Belgium, I moved to the US in 2014 where I received BS in sports management and afterward a Master in Business Administration.

After graduating with my MBA I wanted to expand my knowledge of international business and finance. Therefore, I applied and got accepted at Peking University in China for a Master in Quantitative & International Finance.

Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in management with an emphasis in competitive strategy.

Goal

I often get questions about my investment strategy, finance, or business and I thought this would be the ideal platform to share those insights. Ultimately, it is my goal to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the last decade with everyone who is interested.

In addition, this is also a fun activity that allows me to organize some of my thoughts and revisit the fundamentals of investing.

Passion

The first thing I look at when I research a company is their management team and their board of directors. I believe that these are the agents that can elicit true change, not just within the company but also in society at large. I am interested in how they interact with their stakeholders and how do they position themselves competitively.

In addition, I absolutely love animals and nature. I cannot own a company that does not promote sustainability and is actively taking a stand against climate change and fighting the loss of biodiversity. For every company I own, the upper echelons must have made a clear stance on this and on how they intend to accomplish these goals in the near future.

Work Experience

In addition to my educational background on the left, I have have experience working with angel investors, Private Equity, Real Estate Investment companies, and at Mizuho.
